Held onsite at Castle Group’s Bloomfield residential development in Austral, the event attracted more than 5,000 people from across South West Sydney, with people queueing around the block to be part of the fun. This is the largest turnout to date for any Castle Group community event.

As part of the day’s festivities, Castle Group auctioned three blocks of land, with a 300 square metre block sold for a record $747,000 – equating to $2,490 per square metre.
Group CEO, Ritchie Perera said, “The South West Family Fun Day was about celebrating the growth and vibrancy of communities in this region, and a way for Castle Group to give back to our community.”

NSW Member for Leppington, Nathan Hagarty commended Castle Group for organising the event.
Mr Hagarty said, “Congratulations to Castle Group for a very successful Fun Day. The size of the crowd at the event goes to show how much this community wants and needs more community events and spaces.”
Other Fun Day highlights:
- The Fun Day was attended by local community leaders and dignitaries, including State Member for Leppington, Nathan Hagarty MP who delivered a rousing speech. Other VIP attendees included Liverpool City Council Mayor, Councillor Ned Mannoun and Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue CEO, Adam Leto.
- Families enjoyed an afternoon of free food stalls, kids’ activities, market stalls, live entertainment and local community stalls.
- 6,000+ free meals from diverse cultural cuisines were served to attendees.
- The community were given a sneak peek at Castle Group’s newest exciting project, The Canopy, Austral – a landmark 500+ lot subdivision.
