{"id":6635,"date":"2026-03-04T10:04:58","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T23:04:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/castlegroup.com.au\/?p=6635"},"modified":"2026-03-10T10:15:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T23:15:48","slug":"castle-group-secures-2-of-16-projects-endorsed-under-nsw-investment-delivery-authority","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/castlegroup.com.au\/ja\/castle-group-secures-2-of-16-projects-endorsed-under-nsw-investment-delivery-authority\/","title":{"rendered":"Castle Group Secures 2 of 16 Projects Endorsed Under NSW Investment Delivery Authority"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row mrow_wrapper vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Castle Group has welcomed confirmation that two of its proposed energy projects have<br \/>\nbeen endorsed for support under the NSW Government\u2019s Investment Delivery Authority<br \/>\n(IDA).<\/p>\n<p>The projects, which will help deliver more reliable and affordable power, are among 14<br \/>\nenergy projects identified for whole-of-government coordination and delivery support.<\/p>\n<p>The projects endorsed are:<br \/>\n&#8211; Western Sydney Super Battery \u2013 Kemps Creek, a battery energy storage system<br \/>\n(BESS) with capacity of up to 1,000 MW \/ 4,000 MWh (4 hours)<br \/>\n&#8211; Western Sydney Super Battery \u2013 Regentville, a battery energy storage system with<br \/>\ncapacity of up to 900 MW \/ 3,600 MWh (4 hours)<\/p>\n<p>The Kemps Creek BESS forms part of a proposed technology and innovation park that<br \/>\nwill also incorporate a data centre of up to 750 MW \u2013 integrating large-scale energy<br \/>\nstorage with digital infrastructure. These projects will create hundreds of jobs and build<br \/>\non Castle Group\u2019s extensive experience successfully delivering major developments in<br \/>\nWestern Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>Castle Group, Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer, Ritchie Perera, said the<br \/>\nendorsement reflects the growing importance of large-scale energy and data storage<br \/>\ninfrastructure in supporting Western Sydney\u2019s next phase of growth and NSW\u2019s<br \/>\ntransition to renewable energy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWestern Sydney is nationally significant land with nationally significant responsibility.<br \/>\nAs population growth, advanced industry, logistics, health and digital demand expand,<br \/>\ngrid reliability and infrastructure resilience become central to economic resilience and<br \/>\ncommunity confidence,\u201d Perera said.<\/p>\n<p>The sites have been carefully selected to sit within established electricity infrastructure<br \/>\nenvironments, where co-location of complementary energy and digital systems enables<br \/>\ncoordinated design, efficient network integration and contained land use outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>The IDA process is designed to accelerate approvals for eligible projects by helping<br \/>\nnavigate planning, evaluation and assessment, while coordinating necessary<br \/>\ninfrastructure to support proponents with progressing delivery. Early community<br \/>\nengagement is underway for the projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCastle Group began in 2007, and over time, it became clear that building communities<br \/>\nalso means investing in the infrastructure that powers them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, Castle Group operates as a diversified group \u2013 supporting long-term community<br \/>\nand economic outcomes.
