Although the multi-billion-dollar Norwest Smart City plan might have a focus on jobs and business, there are developments in the works for those getting out of the workforce.

A $400 million retirement village is under construction in Bella Vista. The first stage was officially opened in August, which comprised of over 60 independent living units.

This great location allows residents to live near family and stay near their original home, making it easier to maintain their lifestyle and keep those valuable, lifelong community connections.

This is not your average retirement village. With waterfront dining, bars, gyms, snooker lounges and function rooms, residents may have a hard time getting the grandkids to leave. The retirement precinct will also provide 24-hour medical care, including GP’s, podiatry, massage and physiotherapy businesses.

The development is close to Norwest Hospital, Bella Vista Farm and numerous shopping centres. Residents will also benefit from the upcoming railway as well as the cycleways and pathways being designed to transform the area into a walkable city.
